WALDORF, MD - February 7, 2009: Mid-Summer Classic Announced - The Valley Baseball League announced that they have finalized an agreement with the Cal Ripken, Sr. Collegiate Baseball League to stage an All-Star game this summer between the two leagues.

New Market, VA - October 13, 2008: New Market Rebels name Lucas Jones of Randolph-Macon College as Head Coach, replacing Nolan Nieman who was unable to return for the 2009 season because of his commitments to Florida Gulf Coast University.

All Things Valley League - July 16, 2008: Chatting With Riley Cooper. A sophomore at the University of Florida, Riley Cooper elected to play Division I football and baseball even though he was a 15th round draft pick by the Philadelphia Phillies.

Rockbridge Rapids to join Valley League in 2009 - July 11, 2008: The New Market Rebels organization welcomes the Rockbridge Rapids to the Valley League. The team will play at the Cap’n Dick Smith Field at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA starting in 2009.

Ashland, VA - May 7, 2008: Ray Hedrick, a former New Market Rebels Head Coach (2001 - 2003) and Head Coach of the Randolph-Macon College Baseball team was named Coach of the Year by his peers in the ODAC.
